still have not gotten my tax return from LAST YEAR, i have to call almost every other day and still nothing. Unprofessional, no communication, been very frustrating.

STEER CLEAR of Thompson Accounting. I paid thousands in penalties and interest due to their negligence. Poorest communication of any company I've ever dealt with. 0 stars would be more accurate

The reviews will tell you everything you need to know about this company, so read them carefully before going to this accountant. Late filing resulting in penalties, numerous mistakes and then when you try to contact them about it afterward absolutely no apologies or responses. Absolutely unacceptable that this place is still in business!

Unprofessional, defensive customer service. Multiple horror stories with this company through friends and family alone. I had to file 4 years of taxes from abroad and the process took a year of back and forth, no answers, postponing, and delays. The final result was 13k plus taxes owing. I told her I was going to get a second opinion and she defensively told me everything was done correctly. Went to a place in Toronto, in and out in an hour fully filed. When all was said and done I owed less than 1k including fees. Never again. I waited a while to post this so as to not be angry at the time of writing. Just don't go here.

They lost some forms and blamed us claiming we didn't bring them in, then they blamed the missing forms for not having them done the tax forms on time. They never called us to let us know they were missing forms, and didn't return our calls to them during that time. Then they incorrectly filed my taxes. CRA says I owe huge amounts of money. Thompson claims they fixed it and I should get an updated statement from CRA in the mail, but months later I got notice from CRA collections instead with added interest, so obviously, Thompson lied about fixing the issue.
