Romby's Tavern & Smokehouse

The service was absolutely terrible. The server would walk past our table numerous times and ignore us and when we ordered, the female server was extremely rude and had an attitude. Then, without reason or explanation, we were cut off. We tried to come back a 2nd time and it was the same thing. I’ve never experienced such a thing. Unfortunately will not be back.

Good food quality. Nice menu selection. Cold draught beer on tap. Service was excellent. Prices reasonable and ample parking. We visited during a busy time but we were able to converse easily.

Stopped in to Romby's yesterday for the first time. We live in Brantford and we're in town for an appointment for our dog. We sat ourselves as there was no sign to indicate to wait or seat ourselves. Our server arrived promptly with menus. She was not overly welcoming or warm...but certainly polite enough. Food arrived and both plates looked amazing. Husband got the Romby's burger with fries and I ordered the Jalapeno Shrimp tacos. Burger looked great, smelled great and was thoroughly enjoyed by him. And the fries were shared and delicious! My tacos fell beyond flat. I make chili Thai shrimp tacos at home and I tried really hard not to judge based on my standard. But at the end of the day, I got three mini tortillas with more lettuce than any other ingredient. And paid extra for what seemed like half a teaspoon of shredded cheese spread between the three tacos and some sour cream. And that's after omitting the onions. (Which I personally think is a strange choice for this menu item). Anyway, atmosphere is cool! Typical bar fanfare. Darts, stage, TVs and a not so typical golf simulator room (did not use/see) I'd go back to give the burger a try and still recommend it as a neat spot to grab lunch.

We found this on Google as it was close to the Costco Business that we were headed to. The outside does look a bit sketchy, but the food makes it worthy! There was a darts tournament going on, but the service was still prompt and attentive. Food came out pretty quickly and we both enjoyed our meals.

I am usually not a huge fan of smoked foods and this place is one of my new favourites. Awesome wings, great service, great atmosphere. I was worried about the wings not being crispy but they’re smoked and fried. Really good! Tried 7 different flavours amongst our table. The Wolverine and classic medium buffalo were the top 2. Definitely going back soon to try the burger that received great reviews from friends.
