I'm going here currently for my own issues. And everything I've done leading up to up point I'm in now. I used to be a pretty depressed kid. Barely spoke to anyone. And because of my therapist. I've become much better. I used to take meds for my constant depression. I'm off them now because of the wonderful help I've been receiving. Keep in mind. I thought I was fine before I came here. And clearly. I was not fine. But in getting better slowly. But it's showing.
View on GoogleMy son saw and had help from Pathstone between the age of 13 and 17. His counsellor provided the connection he needed and provided support for our family when we needed it. We have a wonderful son with good tools, a realistic relationship with his mental help and an honest relationship with us. There isn't a day doesn't go by that we weren't thankful we persisted in pursuing help for him, and will be eternally grateful for her impact on his life.
View on GoogleMiserable woman at the counter just looked at me and went "do you need something..." And "well we don't have services for adults....why, are you suicidal?" How unwelcoming even if I had mistaken the services offered. Why would anyone want to go here for anything, let alone in crisis. Brown hair, older woman, glasses. She needs to be FIRED. Atrocious behaviour.
View on GoogleBig huge million dollar building … tons of taxpayers money put into the facility… but where is all the help??? My daughter literally told the therapist she wanted to die 10/10…and the therapist sent her home and said “maybe have a movie night with your mom.” I have followed up multiple times asking for next steps with no response…. There’s nobody that cares! Why put all this money into this facility that’s supposed to be staffed with therapists and programs for children’s mental health when literally nothing is being done? Shameful.
View on GoogleIf you can avoid taking your child here, I would. They don’t care about your child’s well being at all. The support staff seems like they were hired with no working or educational skills. The child psychologists they work with recommend children to NOT deal with past trauma. And even knowing what they have been through, it’s been a minimum 6 month wait while their mental health deteriorates. Pathstone is responsible for all suicide attempts in children in Niagara and something needs to be done about it. You are killing our future.
