Super surprised at how organized and clean this place was! The one we go to in Toronto is such a mess and they had a good selection of everything.

Despite some of the other reviews here, we had a very positive experience with the employees. We had purchased 8 sleepers for our daughter and after checking out, we accidentally forgot the items on the counter (oops!). The next morning we went back to see what could be done, and they helped us locate all the items that matched our receipt. No issue whatsoever.

Going to Once Upon a Child is like a treasure hunt, but instead of gold, the prize is a gently-used, immaculate stroller for half-price that smells faintly of someone else's baby—a small, wonderful price to pay for victory."

⸻ ⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointed and Treated Poorly I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Once Upon a Child on Wellington Road in London, Ontario. From the moment I walked in, the woman at the front counter gave me a nasty look like I didn’t belong. Her attitude was snobby and unprofessional—zero warmth, zero respect. I dropped off several bags full of high-quality toddler clothes, including a $60 full winter snowsuit and tons of nearly new or brand new items. Everything was folded, clean, and sorted. Over an hour later, I came back expecting a fair offer, or at least decent service. What I got instead was a dismissive “heyyyyyy” from a tall, thin blonde woman who honestly looked sick and acted worse. Think “valley girl meets condescending attitude.” She offered me $50 for what easily had hundreds of dollars in value. Even at thrift or consignment prices, it was insulting. They kept the majority of my items and gave back two crumpled bags, jammed full and unfolded—a total disrespect to the effort I put into sorting everything. I had originally planned to trade for something my daughter really wanted, not to sell, but after waiting 20+ minutes while they “looked for” my stuff (and acted like I was crazy for even asking), I gave up. I told them straight to their face to just give me the money—I didn’t have time for the nonsense. Took my $50 and left, feeling like I got scammed. Honestly, I regret ever stepping foot in that store. I would’ve rather donated these items to a young mom in need than be made to feel like garbage for trying to reuse and recycle in a fair way. I will never return to this location and I suggest others think twice before bringing your items here. I would like to add that the staff makes you feel unwanted and unwelcome

Sometimes you can find great deals - other times you find clothing priced higher than the original tag on the item. Most recently I purchased a sorting toy that was bagged up so I couldn’t inspect it. Got home and noticed that several of the pieces are for a different toy and do not fit, as well as missing some of the original things. Several of the shapes have wear marks like they were chewed and I had to scrub crayon/marker off of them. In photo, the larger purple half circle and triangle do not fit in any of the holes as well as another piece. It’s also missing the diamond and star shape pieces.
