Lakeport Fish & Chips

I want to thank the staff at lakeport lundys lane for always doing such a great job and always greeting me with such charisma. Today you two guys (the cook and the guy out front taking orders) went above and beyond with your customer service skills. My wife and I always grab fish and chips here and it is always so good. Today she felt the fish was a little undercooked and you guys did not hesitant to fix the issue. I truly thank you guys for making my wife’s day and keeping mine peaceful 😂

The packaging was beautifully done—it felt like it was lovingly packed by my grandmother. Such a charming, homey touch! The fish and chips were a bit overcooked and dry, but the care in presentation really stood out.

I come here for lunch. Great lunch special. Fish and chips is fish and chips, no complaints. It's a good price for the specials, but the reason I continue to return is because the woman who works the counter is spectacularly friendly and competent. I know it's not a dream job, but she always smiles and is fast and makes it feel like she's happy to serve and do what she's there for. The place is always clean and never smells like frying oil. Fantastic service.

The last time I had fish and chips this good was in New Zealand about 20 years ago. Absolutely delicious. The fish was fresh, the batter crispy. No captain highliner here. If I'm back in the area, I'll be coming back again.

I ordered their $6 Tuesday special for take out 1 piece fish with chips. I’ll start out by saying the service here is phenomenal, really great person answered the phone with awesome customer service. The food on the other hand…I’m so disappointed by it. The fish was so rubbery and overcooked and the batter was almost stale, though the fish was hot you could’ve convinced me it was 2 days old and refried. I only live 3 minutes away so couldn’t have gotten like that from the restaurant to my house. The fries were OK though majority were butt end of the potato fries and not crispy at all, only soggy which I do t mind soggy fries but most people look for a crunch. The gravy was also just seasoned brown water to my knowledge, it didn’t even stick to the fries. At this point it’s too late to call and complain but maybe they can take some pointers from this review. Won’t be back, even if the service was fabulous.
