Lai's Chinese Restaurant

I ordered chicken lo mein with extra shrimp and beef ($4.00 each item extra). Took me 10 min for then to get my order straight after speaking to two people .. which was fine…. But in the end my order was such a disappointment. I asked for it to be extra extra spicy and not watery and with certain vegetables to be on it. I’m new to the falls and was trying to find a place similar to Nanking in st. Catharine’s … anyways I feel they missed the mark big time … there was no flavour, just very heavy liquid sauce which then turned into the whole dish within minutes of me eating .. very soggy and watery tasting. They gave me one extra small hot sauce package and one soy sauce And….. yup …. they charged me $27.00 for this. Indefinitely won’t be going here anymore and please I’ll ask Everyone if you want amazing Chinese food, and you can make it out to st. Catharine’s .. you have to try Nanking on Martindale Rd (Huntington Plaza) which is open not like they tried to tell me they shut down which I thought was an odd comment. I have never been this disappointed with Chinese food before …. And then to be charged $27.00…… which I never complained .. paid the bill as I was hopeful this was the magic place I was looking for. So no! Epic failure and will never return! Jenny

Visited here last week and the food was amazing! Service was quick, and the portion sizes were great. Ordered combo plates and egg foo yung. The chicken balls had a large piece of chicken in it which was great because most places have mostly batter. The chicken wings were crispy, sesame chicken delicious and the egg foo yung perfect. Highly recommend this family restaurant for dinner in Niagara falls instead of all the chain places in the tourist area. Will definitely be back anytime I'm in Niagara.

Fantastic food. Truly bang for the buck. Very well cooked, tasty and larger portions.

After a long day of travelling around the Niagara region, I was really craving some good ol' Chinese food. Lai's did not let me down.

Loved the place, loved the caring attitude of the attendants and absolutely bowled over by the quality of food. We had hot and sour soup at the restaurant and got our dinner packed for take-out (as we planned to drive back home to Lancaster, NY). The soup was just amazing. Enjoyed the dinner immensely. The lady as well as the elderly gentleman who attended us were ever so kind and caring to make sure we do not face any problem to carry home the dinner. Long story short....YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST.
