Dr. Joseph is a very experienced and knowledgeable vet. He helped my cat avoid a surgery that could have cost thousands of dollars, and I’m truly grateful for his guidance and care. He’s very patient, professional, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. You can tell he genuinely cares about the animals he treats. I would highly recommend Dr. Joseph to anyone looking for quality pet care. Before considering surgery or going elsewhere, it’s definitely worth consulting him first.

Extremely disappointed. The vet was completely uninformed about international travel protocols despite my prior inquiry. Most shockingly, I was quoted $400 just to fill out a couple of forms, which is predatory and far above the industry standard. This felt like an attempt to take advantage of a client. Save your money and go to a more professional and transparent clinic.

Great vet (Dr. Joseph) and staff! You can tell they really care about the animals. He has a lot of experience and takes a practical approach. I always get in that day if there is something pressing (I have a lot of pets). Would definitely recommend this clinic.

Disappointing Experience, I Would Not Return I came to this clinic from Hamilton, where I’m used to a much more welcoming atmosphere and veterinary staff who genuinely care about both you and your pet. Unfortunately, my experience at Charlton Animal Hospital was the complete opposite. From the receptionist to the veterinarian, the environment felt uninviting and unnecessarily judgmental. Instead of feeling comfortable asking questions or expressing concerns, I felt dismissed and spoken to as though I was a negligent owner simply for not knowing something. This created a stressful experience that only added to the worry I already had about my pet. The veterinarian did not seem interested in listening to my concerns, and the overall interaction felt rushed and impersonal. At no point did I feel supported, understood, or treated with empathy. I can’t recommend this clinic based on the care I received. Pet owners deserve a veterinary team that is compassionate, respectful, and willing to communicate, and sadly, that was not my experience here.

I have been bringing my dogs here for almost 12 years. Never had anything negative to say about Dr. Joseph. He has always been fair and easy to speak with regarding care and support for my dogs. When I cant be in the office for an appointment he is patient with us while we video chat about our pet and care after visit. Dr Joseph and staf have always been professional and easy going. I will say that some of the clients on the otherhand are a handful and the staff has always remained professional.
