Cafe Amalia

Amalia’s Café is one of those small town treasures you hear about and just have to experience for yourself. It’s a well loved local gem that always seems to have a steady flow of regulars coming and going, and after finally stopping by, I completely understand why. The café is run by an older couple, Amalia, who the café is named after, and her husband Constantino. Their warmth and charm fill the space just as much as the aroma of fresh espresso. Inside isn’t what you might expect; it’s part café, part small shop, with products for sale alongside a few tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your order. It’s not modern or flashy, but it has that cozy, lived-in, homey feel. There isn’t a printed food menu, just a simple wall display for drinks. We visited on a weekend around lunchtime and decided on sandwiches and lattes, one of them made with cinnamon. The sandwiches were simple but fresh made with sliced deli meat, cheese, and crisp lettuce. The lattes were delicious, smooth, and clearly made with care. They also serve Gelato, which looked tempting, but we were too full to try it this time. Judging by how popular it seemed with others, it’ll definitely be on our list for next time. What stood out most was the atmosphere, locals coming in and out, chatting with Amalia and Constantino like old friends. You can tell this café has been part of the community for years and that the owners truly love what they do. They could easily retire, but it’s clear they take joy in connecting with people and keeping their little spot alive. We’ll definitely be back, next time for another latte or cappuccino and a scoop of that Gelato.

Cute and quaint little place tucked on the corner of Lloyd and Thorald road Cafè Amalia is the perfect spot to cool off with their selections of gelato and ice, start the day right with the perfect espresso beverage, or why not try both and get the best summer treat this year; an affogato! ☕️🍦

It has been by far the best homely cafe I’ve been to. This cute couple who owns it are so sweet and gives all the home feels💗 Coffee has been the best so far, and vegetable sandwich was to die for. I cannot stress this enough for y’all to visit this place whenever passing by.
